To the Supporters and Volunteers of the Lucky Lucy Foundation

Dear Lucky Lucy Supporters and Volunteers,

The foundation has been really busy on the farm recently as you will see when you get there!

With the financial support of tremendous supporters we have now completed the brick and mortar of the new clinic and David Mathews Painters have sponsored the roof and exterior painting. I have just received confirmation of the sponsorship of the floor paint from RSB, so I am confident that our clinic will be complete and ready for use by end September.

Sherwood Forest, as it has become known will be launched during October to coincide with LLF’ second birthday party, so please keep an eye out for that announcement and come through with your families to be involved in and support the various activities we have planned for the day.

Summer is almost upon us and to keep the LLF shelter looking great and green we will be opening and equipping a second borehole that will allow us to water all the new foliage on the farm.

The Grade 11’ of Elkanah House School have chosen Lucky Lucy for their 2016 community project, which is based on the schools’ efforts to teach their pupils to ‘give back’ and that that aspect of one’s life is as important as there studies. This project will build the long awaited/planned Dog pond that will be at the beginning and end of our walks and all our dogs will be able to take a before and after dip!

Baby Tin Tin was found next to the road on 16 August 2016. In just a few days this little boy has shown a remarkable recovery. He is tiny, but a true fighter and his quick recovery astonishes us all.

Nikki you and your team are absolutely awesome! Thank You seems so small especially for what you are always doing for us!
Mandela Day and some weekends you visited us again to continue to transform our Open Cat Garden into a little paradise for our cats! There is no boundaries to the transformation you and your team accomplish with our garden – thank you so much!

Always remember that the best kind of people are the ones that come into your life and make you see the sun where you once saw clouds. The people that believe in the same cause as you do. Thank you for being that once in a lifetime kind of people for us, helping us to make a difference in the lives of each kitty currently in our care and also for those ones that will become part of our family in the future.

For many this garden will become their retirement home a place where they will have no stress, a place where they can just enjoy being a special kitty!
