We are now starting to count the weeks before the big move. Over the next 5-6 weeks we have to finish
all the dog camps, the rehabilitation camps for dogs and the quarantine area. The cats will be moved to
a temporary cattery and kittenary until we have the approved plans and funds for their permanent new home.

We will be planting the poles for the smaller camps over the next week and then start with fencing. We still
urgently need fencing and vibracrete and roofsheets for the rehab camps.

Please let us know if you can help with any of these. We have a Sponsor a Camp project and our first rehab
camp has been sponsored. We will publish the names as soon as the payment has been confirmed. Please
ask your friends, family, and colleagues if they would like to sponsor a camp.

We also need volunteers to help, all the regular volunteers have been working every weekend and will continue
to do so to get everything ready but we could really do with more help.

If you cannot help, please consider sponsoring a worker for R150 a day.

Furkids to adopt

RIP

Cheddar -Saying Goodbye ….. Till we meet again

You came into our lives one winter afternoon confused, insecure and not sure what we will do.
So beautiful and smart as we just loved you from the start.
We promised you the world and wanted you to be part of a family where you would be special and loved all day long, a family who would never give up on a promise to you!
But that day never came to greet you and a dear and sweet companion you’ve become to us.

We all knew that someday the time would come when you would have to part.
Goodbyes always seems so final and we just want to cry until there is no more tears.

We know we need to be grateful for the time you allowed us to be part of your life!
We would not have memories to visit if you did not come to stay,
We would also not have a reason to miss and cry over you if we never have met you.

Our special friend please know that you will never be forgotten as you made sure that you had a special place in our hearts to stay forever!

Your paw prints are all over our hearts forever!
Run free till we meet again!

In Loving Memory – EMI

Emi was truly like her name suggested, 恵美 meaning ‘beautiful blessing’ in Japanese, for she
was an angel on earth.

She came to our foundation on 12 April 2013 after being picked up as a stray in Kraaifontein.
She came to us old and neglected with no will to live. At first we thought she had cancer but
great was our surprise when it turned out to be babies during a scan at the vet.

So we brought her ‘home’ to our family and cared for her at our shelter.  More sadness was to
follow. Emi gave birth to 5 beautiful babies of which no-one survived. This left a very sad Emi…
who mourned for her babies.

But this all changed the day (18 May 2013) when 2 angels came in human form. Lucille and
Peter, Emi’s pawrents, came to whisk her away to a life full of love and joy. She even had a
furbrother Rex. Rex passed away earlier this year and new adopted brother Thomas joined them.

Emi was happy …. Everyone was happy… They were the perfect family.

Then the sad news today…. Emi wasn’t doing well…. It was time and there was nothing the vet
could do any more, nothing to do than for her pawrents to say goodbye and promise her that one
day they’ll be together again.

Mom Lucille and Dad Harold, we wish we could make your pain go away. First Rex and now Emi….
We are so truly sorry. You are angels for taking in old girl Emi and giving her the very best. It is only
the very special ones that can take in old and/or special needs furkids. We are furever grateful for
your big hearts!

Emi, one day we will ALL be together. Remember that you are an extra special little lady and that we
will love you furever and ever.

We love you Emi

Thank you’s
