WE CANNOT STRESS THE IMPORTANCE OF STERILIZATION ENOUGH

WARNING: Graphic images
This happened to Buster because his owner refused to have him sterilized!
Buster tried to mount a female dog in the township and a fight followed leaving poor Buster with bite wounds no dog should ever endure. This must be excruciating pain!!! Poor poor Buster! Bitten genitals and a bruised ego. Fortunately the owner eventually contacted us to help this boy…. A bit of good news is that the owner now agreed to have Buster neutered.
This sad boy was taken to the vet today and is currently under medical care.
Please, if you are able to, consider donating towards his medical care and his sterilization, deworming and vaccinations. Vet visit, medical care, food and sterilization would be around R1000.
HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Please help us to sterilize more furkids, so that they do not have to go through trauma like this. A sponsorship of R350 for the sterilization of a township furkid will make a huge difference to that furkid’s life.

Outreach work weighs heavy on one’s heart and soul… I guess one will never be strong enough… yet there is no giving up… they need us…… and then this happens… a story that gives hope…

We’ve been working in this small community for a few months now. Today we would like to share Floosie’s story with you…
Hi, my name is Floosie. I am a little girl of about 7 weeks old. Last Saturday the people from Lucky Lucy came to my village to check up on my other fur brothers and fur sisters. My human mom brought me to the people and they checked me from toe to tail, de-fleaing and deworming was done and I got my first vaccination. I heard them come back on Sunday to dip the other furkids, but I never saw them as it was cold and I was warm and cozy on my human’s bed. No getting up that early in the morning for me.
Then I started to feel not well at all. I stopped eating. I wouldn’t even eat the nice puppy food the Lucky Lucy people gave me. My mom, Elzette, got really worried, so she took me and walked kilometers to the Lucky Lucy shelter holding me tight in her arms. She was very sad when she gave me to the people and she begged them to help me and to PLEASE not let me die. A nice man, Anyway, took me straight to the vet. They did tests and I tested negative for disease. They gave me meds and an injection that will help me overcome the nausea. I miss my human family, but need to stay at the shelter until I am strong and healthy enough to go back home.
Please think of me as I am still a tiny baby and my system is very fragile. I want to get better soon and do all the things puppies do!
To contribute towards my vet bill please follow this link.

Thank You’s

A very big Thank You to everybody who supported us on Mandela day. We had loads of fun and the animals loved all the attention they got. Also a very big thank you for all the donated goodies that will really help a lot.

Our white bakkie is continuously giving problems and then we use the small black bakkie. However we need a canopy since we cannot transport the workers and animal without a canopy, specially in winter. Please see our plea and if anybody can help with a second hand canopy it will really help a lot.

We also need more Guardian Angels so we can be sure we get in enough finances to cover our day to day expenses. Please consider becoming a Guardian Angel for R50 or more a month and please ask your friends and family to join.

Ways of contributing:

For R50 per month or more you can become a Guardian Angel.
