Save a Prayer

Blacky came to us on 4 Feb 2014. Since then he has been such a brave boy who overcame many obstacles in his life. He came in as a naked furkid with no hair. About a month later he got sick and was hospitalized. The vets said they’d never seen such a progressive strain of biliary before. We almost lost him, but he proved to be a survivor! A few months ago our beautiful hero defended his pack and he killed a snake before it could harm him or any of his camp mates.

Now Blacky is in hospital. Today is his 3rd day there.

Monday morning he was very weak and he was admitted to hospital. There were puncture wounds on his head so at first we suspected a snake bite. The vets confirmed that it was not a snake. More puncture wounds were found on his legs as well as scratches. The vets are baffled as to what could have caused it. Not a snake. Not bite wounds from dogs. They have no idea what caused it and neither do we. His legs were swollen yesterday, but today the brave boy put up a big smile when Anyway went to visit him.

Please keep Blacky in your hearts and thoughts. Send pawsitive thoughts his way and ask for guidance for the veterinary staff that looks after him in hospital. He is a precious Lucky Lucy family member and our wish is that he gets well soon. We miss him tremendously and cannot wait for him to be healthy again and back with us.

Blacky, be brave one more time boy! We know you can beat this too! We love you so much!

Donations towards his hospital care would be greatly appreciated.

Blacky’s story and album:

Our little baby, Carol, needs your healing thoughts and prayers tonight! We are only human and it’s sometimes hard to be the wise, all-knowing creatures that our cats expect us to be.

And so we pray tonight for a miracle and special help with our little Carol. To somehow help us through this difficult time so that we can stay strong for her. Our precious baby was on medication for snuffles and a mild case of infection so we placed her in foster care to make sure she gets round the clock care. Then suddenly she took a turn for the worse and she had to be rushed to our vet who immediately treated her. She was diagnosed with the start of pneumonia. A viral infection in her lungs and the only thing our vets can do is to treat her for secondary infections while her own immune support system needs to start fighting the viral infection as well. X-rays was done and it was found that one of her lungs was also abnormally large which further prevent her to get rid of the phlegm. She is currently in the high-care unit where she is on a drip and where they can closely monitor the infections.

We just need our little baby to hang on and fight because we will never give up on her. Life did not came easy for her and the moment we thought we had a breakthrough with her then this happened. Please, keep our Carol in your thoughts and prayers so that she can feel the love to stay strong. The next couple of hours is absolutely crucial for our girl as she urgently needs to continue to respond to the treatment. We all need your suppawt, prayers and healing thoughts for our dear girl in this difficult time.

Please share her plea with all your friends and family.
If we can sent you a million purrrrs to show how much we appreciate all the suppawt then we would move the world to make it happen.

If you want to lend Carol a helping hand with her medical expenses, then this is how you can do it:

R. I. P. Anny

Anny came to us battered and bruised 5 years ago. An emaciated adult girl that had the worst worm infestation that we had ever seen. We nursed her back to health. 5 long years passed and yet no one saw how special she was. Always smiling. Always bouncy and happy. But we knew just how special our doghter was. Why didn’t anyone else give her a second chance? Not one enquiry about Annie all these years! So Anny grew older and older…. Still hoping for a family of her own.

This morning we found her ‘sleeping’ in the corner of her shed. A sleep she will never wake up from. Our world came crashing down. Life is just so unbelievably unfair. She was a girl who deserved so much more… She passed without having the opportunity to be part of a real family.

Anny, please know that you will forever and ever be our special girl. We are sure you are keeping the angels in heaven smiling all day for you have such a loving personality. Frolic beyond the rainbow bridge and be happy… for one day soon our family will be whole again when we reunite for eternity. We love you Annie, forever and ever.

In Anny’s loving memory we ask of you to open your hearts and homes to the older boys and girls at our shelter. We know that Annie would have wanted them all to know what it feels like to have a real family of their own.

Our furkids older than 8, please don’t pass them by:
Ulla 14 years 8 months.
Uncle Cracker 13 years 3 months.
Brownie 11 years 3 months.
McBeth 11 years 3 months.
Gabriel 11 years 3 months.

Shia 8 years 9 months.
Pote 8 years 4 months.
Aiko 8 years 3 months.
Tanya 8 years 3 months.
Dusty 8 years 3 months.
