To the Supporters and Volunteers of the Lucky Lucy Foundation

Dear LLF Supporters and Volunteers,

The festive season fast approaches and I am sure you are all looking forward to hard earned holidays with your loved ones.

Keep a look out for our new Video which will, if not already there, be placed on our website and Facebook page for you all to see. Our thanks go to the USB business management ‘students’ who chose LLF as their project and to Troy Goldie of Trojan Video productions for sponsoring the video. Like Ampie Niemand, the toy geeks in you will love the aerial shots of the farm, which were taken using Troy’ brother Sean’ fantastic drones and piloting expertize – Thanks Sean!

The SANRAL project has reached our eastern border and as you will see when there they have started erecting the new border fences and have marked where the new access road will be. Please be cautious in this area when on the farm.

Once the SANRAL crews have access they will be filling the dam in that area to allow us to complete the parking area for events to be held in the Lucky Lucy Forest. Please put the word out to all you know that we will be able to host Music concerts, Weddings and other major events of that nature from early 2017. All funds raised will be ploughed directly back into the work LLF does.

One of the projects the LLF board will be considering is to build a Kennel business on the farm. The USB students raised this as a future project which could raise substantial funding for the foundation. They felt that pet owners would feel comfortable leaving their animals at a foundation such as LLF as our core function and ethos is the care of animals. We’d like your feedback on that suggestion.

As December approaches we always start to worry.

December is a time for family and that well deserved break, however the work at LLF does not stop and we would appreciate any assistance during this period from those of you that choose to stay home over the festive period. In addition during the festive season unscrupulous pet owners abandon their animals at home and without care. LLF will naturally be vigilant during this period and we urge you to call us if you are made aware of any such incidents of abuse or cruelty.

We remain extremely grateful for your continued support.

Be safe and we look forward to seeing you on the farm soon.

Kind Regards
Richard Green (Chairperson)
