Rambo has been with us for a few days now. At times he seems to have lost the will to go on, but today was better.
Today we moved him from his quarantine cage to a bigger area in our quarantine area. He would not walk so we covered him with a blankie and carried him all the way to his new roofed area where he has a beddie, a comfy kennel and space to walk around. His body is swollen, but as you carry him you could feel the ribs and bones sticking into your arms.

At first he just sat in the corner and would not move so we went away so that he can explore on his own. Minutes later we found him on his beddie, all curled up. Checking up on him later, he was snug as a bug (lovebug!) in his kennel. He even started to take cookies from us! And we got a very tiny tail wag! Very feint but it was definitely a tail wag. Enough to make the eyes fill with tears.

Please send Rambo tons of healing energy so that he can improve every day. We cannot wait for everyone to see the handsome boy we already see!

In loving memory: Our darling Zorba

Thank you for everyone’s prayers during the day… The angels called this old soul and he slipped away in loving arms around 18h00 today with human tears dripping onto his beautiful face and soft white fur… Leaving us bewildered and with broken hearts.

Zorba collapsed and was rushed to the vet this morning. After examination they found his abdominal cavity filled with blood from tumours that had burst. Our boy was so weak but he was calm… for he knew that there is a special place beyond the rainbow bridge for old furkids like him. He was tired, so he closed his eyes and followed the soft angel voices to the other side.

It is still so unreal, that you are gone Zorba. You always had a smile on your face… never did you complain. For almost 8 months you blessed us with your happiness and joy. Thank you for being you and bringing a warmth to our hearts. We will miss you terribly for you were much loved and still IS!
Go well old man… until we meet again. Always remember that you are our ‘son’ and that we love you more than earthly words can say. WE LOVE YOU!
