Dear Lucky Lucy Supporter

Our sincere thanks to those of you that have heeded our call for assistance.

My personal appeal to you all is to SMS LUCY to 48899 just ONCE. I know times are tough but I am sure we can all afford the R10 and it will make a world of difference-THE POWER OF COMBINED CARE.

If we all do so RIGHT NOW we will be able to settle our Vet bills pay the salaries of our dedicated shelter employees and continue to provide the care we give to the animals in our shelter and the one’s we find every week in impoverished communities around us. Just this morning we dipped animals in Kalbaskraal and found 2 small dogs literally on death’s door and we have sent them to our Vet. How can we just turn a blind eye?!

Please remember that NOT ONE board member or volunteer at Lucky Lucy is paid. 100% of your contribution goes directly to the animals.

Rescue Tail & Pupdate : Tao

It may sound strange, but I am only learning what a ‘ball’ is now. At first I did not know what to do with this funny round thing, but then I realized that it is super FUN! Yes, FUN with all capital letters! My first session and I already know how to bring it back. I am such a clever girl! I just need to work on my ‘stops’. I’m so super excited to go fetch the ball that I run full steam ahead and then stops so suddenly that I tumble head over heels to get to the ball. But you know what, I don’t mind.. it puts a huge smile on the human’s face. That thing called a smile… I have never seen it in my previous life. I think I LOVE SMILES! It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy… just like playing ball!

Rescue Tail & Pupdate: Tommy

Tommy came from Franschoek on 16 January 2016 in a terrible state. Underweight and his skin was not looking good at all. (He was in a much worse state, but a kind vet took him in for a week before he came to us

He is the coolest dude on the block and walking him on a leash is an absolute pleasure. He still has a few kilo’s to pack on but is such a different boy from that first day he joined our family.

To look into his eyes is to see ‘love’ in it’s truest form.

Keep Tommy in your thoughts as he puts the past behind him and embrace a brand new life…. Searching for that special furever home.
