Adoption Costs

All our adoption fees are not for profit but to recover actual veterinary and rescue expenses. Puppies and kittens incur higher adoption fees as they may require more veterinary care and they often come into contact with deadly diseases (Parvo, Corona, Distemper, FEL-V, FIV, etc) with their more compromised immune systems, please consider this when adopting.

Adult and Special Needs Dogs (1-7 years) Male/Female – Adoption fee R800.00 which Include:

  • Up to date Vaccinations
  • Deworming & flea treatment before leaving the shelter
  • Sterilization
  • Microchip

Senior Dogs (>7 Years) Adoption Fee is R750.00

Puppies (< 12 Months) Female/Male – Adoption Fee R900.00 and include:

  • First two vaccinations. Should the pup leave our shelter before the second vaccination is due, you may bring the puppy back for the second vaccination (included in adoption fee) or you may opt to have this done at your private veterinarian at your OWN cost. Please inform us on contact@luckylucy.org should you choose to do so.

  •  Up to date deworming & flea treatment before leaving the shelter

  • Sterilisation at 6 months of age. Make arrangements with us to have him/her sterilised at our private veterinary practice with no added costs to you. Should you opt to make use of your private veterinary that will be at your OWN cost. Please inform us on contact@luckylucy.org  should you choose to do so and please provide proof of sterilisation.
