Without your support there is no story, no hope and no new beginnings for the animals in our care. But when there is people that care and wants to make a difference then life springs from death and sorrow and it turns into hope.

We have about 2 weeks of hard labour left before we are able to start the big move to the new LLF farm. We would like to thank everybody who has made a donation of any kind and those who came and assisted on both the new and the old farm. Maintaining the required activities on the old farm whilst establishing the new farm has been one of the great challenges and we would not have been able to manage over the last couple of months without all of your tremendous support! Thank you so much and we hope that you are all as excited as us regarding our new farm and the secured future that provides LLF.
We have decided that we will start moving onto the new farm on during the week of the 27th of October and that requires a HUGE last effort. A number of our board members and key volunteers have taken leave and will be on the new farm from Saturday to the following Sunday. We would appreciate any support on the new farm during this period and the weekend thereafter to get the camps ready and this Saturday we really need experienced walkers for the old farm as most of our volunteers are required to complete the new farm. Please try and pop in to help.

For the new farm out immediate needs are:
- Paving or bricks
- Dog carriers
- 100 3mx38x76 Battens
- 30 6mx50x76 Battens
- 40 6m corrugated roof sheets
- Any other metal roof sheeting
- 20 10mm shelving boards – shutter ply
- Metal tubing for the construction of large gates

Update 12 October 2014
It’s me again… Jack of hearts!
I’ve been here now for a few days and I am already doing better.
I know the treat bucket when I see it! I think I have fallen in love with that special bucket with the ‘happiness’ inside.
So awesome. I let them feed me yummy bites, but sudden movements still scare me.
I also won’t let them touch me yet. But every day I’m more comfortable…. Soon, very soon I will forget my past and trust again!
