Baby H

Sometimes I do not even know why I was born 4 months ago. What is this ‘life’ they talk about? So far I only know that it HURTS! Life hurts and I need someone to take this awful pain and loneliness away.

They brought me to this place called a hospital. I am not sure what is going on. I hear them talk about ‘being in a critical state’ and ‘might not make it’. I have no idea what that means, but it does not sound good. All I know is pain and this feeling of intense illness. I can see the worry in their eyes when they say it will be very costly to bring me back to health should I be strong enough to handle treatment. This makes me feel even sadder.

Please could you help me so that I can have a 2nd chance in life? I promise to be a good boy!

The vets cannot say what my treatment will cost, but my new family at LLF thinks that if we could get together about R5000 it should be a good start. Do you think there would be enough people out there that could love me enough to make it possible for me to get the treatment I need?

Oh, there is one more thing. The people that had me gave me a horrible name. The new people lovingly call me Baby H … so I was thinking…. Do you have a beautiful name for me that starts with a “H”?

Please, we hate to ask, but for Baby’s future, can you help towards the costs? If not, we understand. Please share his plea far and wide. His future rest in our hands, together we can make it possible for Baby H to have all the treatments he needs. Our latest vet bill at Bergzicht (25 May) is already standing at R32159.00 and we do not know how far we can push this without paying some of it.

Baby H, a 4 month old bull terrier cross, has Babesia & Biliary. He is also in a bad condition and it is clear he wasn’t being loved. He has old bite wounds that will need drains and meds. The one in his neck has formed an abscess already. Also keep this precious boy in your hearts as his life is hanging on a thin line. Please do not let the angels take him from us!

Brand New T-Shirts!

A special design for LLF-supporters, created by Karien Naude.

Pre-orders must be placed before 12 June 2016.

Colours available: Emerald, Stone, Blue, Apple.

1. Send your order, ie 1 x blue (large) as well as your name, telephone number and e-mail to amanda@luckylucy.org.

2. Please note this is a pre-order and production still needs to take place. ETA mid July.

3. T-shirts must be collected from Durbanville Craft Market on the first Saturday of every month. Alternative arrangements can be made to be picked up on the farm. Should you wish your t-shirt to be couriered, arrangements must be made by yourself. Details to be provided if this is your preferred method of delivery. We will not make use of the post office.

4. Cost are R200 per t-shirt. Please pay the full amount into our bank account with your name and amount of t-shirts as reference, ie Di Smith 3.
